The past couple sessions we did some barrel exploring together...

On April 19th 2010, while everyone was watching the Women’s Pipeline Pro, we were spelunking for tubes at Off the Wall. Here’s a few photos from the session. Exhilarating! Love Off the Wall, and my DeMarco board really drew some clean lines.

One wave sticks out, the backside shack. I dropped in deep and saw the whole wave stacking up at a nice angle to the beach. I knew it was going to throw, and decided to get in sooner than later so I stuck the butt out and dragged hard. Too hard as I lost my balance and my back foot dragged in classic style. I got it back on and continued to blast through a sick cavern. I got shut down, but super stoked on that one.

Yards had it’s moments in April . I scored a saweet frontside barrel. Pulled in as the lip started to pitch over my head. As I got to the bottom of the wave I barely pulled my nose back up the face in time. The thick chunky lip crashed a centimeter from it and I got a dry shack. I screamed out of the barrel and laid a nice hacking tailslide. Best wave of the month. Alexis Pasquariello was the women behind the lens for both the sessions. Sick Shapes Joe!
